The full program is approved by Yoga Alliance and fulfills the 200-hour certification requirements. Yoga Alliance is the main governing board of yoga teachers in the United States. Earning the 200-hour certification lets your students and employers know that you have completed comprehensive training to become a yoga teacher.
About the Program – The yoga teacher training program curriculum was written and created by Nancy Wile. Nancy is a registered yoga teacher trainer (E-RYT 500), and is the founder of the Yoga Education Institute- a registered yoga school. She earned a doctorate in health education from Columbia University and spent much of her working life developing and evaluating health related programs for schools and universities. Yoga of Dickson is an official affiliate school that will be offering this comprehensive Registered Yoga Teacher Training Program. The training sessions will take place at Yoga of Dickson and will be lead by Christina O'Brien E-RYT and others with many years of personal and teaching practice.

As part of this training, each trainee will receive a training manual with over 900 pages of reference materials for your yoga library. Upon completion of our course, participants who demonstrate our skill competency and 200 hours’ coursework will receive a certification for completion of the curriculum. This will enable you to register with Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200).
Prerequisites-The course is open to people of all yoga abilities. We simply ask that participants set an intention to devote their time and energy to the process of being present and open to becoming. We also suggest, that you work to establish your own personal yoga practice, through attending classes or workshops, or on your own. Set intention, with an open heart and mind, to fully embrace and experience the yogic lifestyle during your training and beyond.
Prior to the training, we recommend that students take a look at the required reading and if possible some of our recommended reading list as well.
Attendance at all modules is mandatory. Credit will not be given for partial attendance. You will be able to make up 2 sessions without a fee. Other make-ups are $300 per module and will have to be made up in future trainings. A certificate will be issued once all requirements have been met - successful completion of all modules in their entirety, all assignments and full payment is received. Teacher Training includes unlimited membership during training period with fully paid teacher training & registration fee.
